The temporally switchable optical mode conversion is crucial for communication and computing applications. This research demonstrates such optically converter driven by thermo-optic refraction. MoS2 nanofluid used as a medium where the thermal microlens created focused laser beam (pump). convective plume generated above focal point of pump within acts an astigmatic lens. It discovered that Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) to Hermite-Gaussian (HG) (vice versa) takes place upon passing through topological charge LG can be easily determined using proposed converter. transformation explained theoretically Fourier components undergoing different paths while propagating plume.
